Ok, I now have the start of the ZEND subsystem starting the ZMYSQL
subsystem. The auto start job for the ZMYSQL system runs ZMYSQLSTRT program
in ZMySQL library, but the daemon is still not running when everything
completes. I don't see any joblogs, and I don't know where to look for any
log files.

I know that when I start a PASE qshell session and start the daemon with the
"mysqld_safe &" command, then I have the daemon running in the QINTER
subsystem under my name, and things work.

Can anyone point me to a log file that will help me debug this issue?

Thanks!

Jim

I have seen this happen more than once.

1. Did you use the windows installer or the SAVF?
2. When installing via either method, did you log in using QSECOFR?
3. Does the ZMYSQLJBQ jobq in library ZMYSQL exist? Is it attached to the
ZMYSQL subsystem?

Subject
[WEB400] Auto starting ZEND and MYSQL subsystem and MYSQL Daemon

After a quick check of the archives, where I did not see this addressed,
and
looking at the ZEND forums, where It is only partially addressed, I am
looking for how to gracefully end and start the ZEND and ZMYSQL
subsystems,
the ZEND http server instance, and the MYSQL daemon. The only way I have
gotten the daemon to start is to start a PASE shell session, then issue
the
'mysqld_safe &' command. This puts the daemon running in QINTER.

What am I missing in getting the MYSQL daemon to start in the ZMYSQL
subsystem? It does not seem to start when I start either the ZEND or
ZMYSQL
subsystems, nor does it start when taking the "4. Start MySQL daemon" menu
option off of the "Zend MYSQL Management" menu.

Thanks!

Jim
