The irony is that the guest expert suggests repeatedly that .Net developers learn Java. In his opinion, Oracle made a great decision to buy Sun, and the Java community will be better for it - Sun was good at innovation, but Java needed a company like Oracle, which looks after the interests of shareholders, as well as customers. Java is in a better position now to compete against Microsoft & .Net.
That's essentially what I got out of it - but a bit confused that such content is sponsored by the .Net community, and that a .Net proponent would post the link.
