Actually Trevor, it's not really.
As Joe pointed out EGL does generate Java and he felt we should be
representing the latest Java technology toolsets such as RDI and EGL.
We agreed that this made sense.
Even though I'm not an EGL fan yet, Joe may persuade me to come over to
the dark side. He did teach me Java a few years back so he may have the
technology to rebuild my thought process :-)
The face off part comes in Joe's and my attempts to get the attendees to
like our respective technology toolsets.
As I mentioned to Mike in my other post it would have been nice to have
PHP and RPG in the house as well, but the lab space is limited for this
event.
As much as Joe and I may disagree on technology toolsets, EGL does
generate JSF code which is Java. Joe can expand on this if needed.
I'm not sure which side you'll be on, but since we're both promoting "i"
technology I'm sure you'll side with both of us.
At least I'm not calling it AS/400 which should please you :-)

Richard,
This event is incorrectly marketed.
It seems that you are offering a "showcase" - EGL one day, then .Net the
next. Where is the "face off" where EGL and .Net are face to face? And,
with
Pluta doing EGL, not Java, then the title is terribly misleading.
Of course, one would expect "EGL/.Net Showcase" is probably not going to
be
'anticipated', let alone 'highly'...
