It was free but I don't think it was ever open source was it ? (Which could mean a lot of things.) Do you know that it means that IBM is trying to get rid of it? Maybe they've decided that they want to enhance it, and therefore want to keep it under their control? Maybe they think it's too valuable to let Giovanni take control of it?
