Not only do we do this, but we run WAS on one box (strictly for WAS)
and LDAP on another box (our production box).  This way, users can log
in to WAS apps with their same username/password as os/400, but with
all the nifty features of LDAP.

It was a little rough in the beginning, but it's fine now.
