Just for inspiration - how does iSeries Access for the Web do it? We use Brad Stone's SPLTOOL to generate PDFs from spooled files to the IFS. Then we email links to these PDFs to various users. Saves bandwidth. The problem is when our operator runs the programs that create the spooled file and henceforth create the PDF, the IFS file retains the authority of her user profile. Then she needs to manually go in and grant the proper authorities. So, I've decided to try to give her a nice web interface to either view or change the authorities. It's a worthwhile free time project and it helps me get my feet wet using CGIDEV2. My problem is that the user profile QTMHHTTP is the one trying to view/change the files and the CGI, or a simple hiperlink is failing. Is there a way to have the user profile of the one utilizing the web interface to carry through to either opening a file or calling a CGI program? I hope this isn't too vague. Thanks, Mark Mark D.
