Hans, you used the phrase "5250 terminal", not emulator. Had you said "emulators", I would have said that one of the business reasons for browsers vs. emulators is that they're zero-footprint on the client side and platform independent. They also require only the standard HTTP port on the firewall, and don't require direct Telnet access to the host machine. Browser access does not require interactive CPW. And browser access can be offloaded from the machine. These are some of the reasons the business community has been slowly switching over from the 5250 interface to the browser. Much of this, of course, is in direct response to your employer recommending this course of action. Joe
