It's a little more complicated with Apache.  Basic authentication in the
Apache world is done by "server area".  The line right underneath the
"Welcome, Setup, Manage, Related Links" tabs has two fields: Server and
Server Area.  Server Area only shows up if you've got an Apache server
selected in the Server field.  Anywho, in the server area you can specify
the directory that you are protecting, then you will be able to do basic
authentication.
