Chris, Question 1: What does this have to do with 'Web Enabling the AS400 / iSeries' (the subject of this list)? Question 2: If you are retrieving data for local storing, what is the use of the 'order by' clause? Just retrieving the data should be enough; you can do your ordering locally. Remark: It is not entirely true that DB2/400 uses logical files as indexes. It is possible to create an index without creating a logical file. If a logical file is built that contains key fields, an index is created automatically. Joep Beckeringh
