wrong, and that's neither productive nor promising to be successful... ;-)

Definitions and usage in the C specs, please.

('m using varying fields in RPG programs called by Net.Data and have no
problems, except that these varying fields don't are suitable as key fields
for my fixed-length keyed files. That puzzled me a bit as the compiler
thinks everything is alright.)
