In a way that's good to know otherwise you had a very special version of WCS
;). I am sure there is a statement out there now that actually makes the
point on storage being used up if you run WebSphere Commerce Suite or
Net.Commerce, and that you must allow for it in the machine sizing.

I was corrected - We IPL'd our web server and gained back 30% of the system.
Extensive use will cause TONS of space to be wasted...

I see the storage issue on the old version of WCS running Net.Data for
presentation (NO WAS), it actually improved in V4 over V3, but no one could
ever give me an answer. I also see storage used with WAS, and the main link
between all these things is the usage of SQL, behind the scenes, so that's
where I think the issue is. Maybe its temporary files used by SQL, which die
when you kill the jobs but it can be a pain because you think you have lots
of space. You watch all the other system areas you keep them tidy ,but the
temporary storage you can do nothing about, you have no control.

Hmmm - I run Net.Data mostly on the old version of Net.Commerce which is
running JUST fine...
Also CGI scripts ... SMOKIN!
RPG does a lot guys!
Is there a problem with WAS 3.0.2 Should I unload this (just loaded it
yesterday!)
I don't want to convert to bringing the site down almost NEVER (@ 8,000 to
20,000 visitors a day!) to killing it on the hour.

I hope IBM reads this, and heeds this information, because if WAS  is not
stable, that is a business reason NOT to apply this.
