Hi Peter,

I do have a plug-in that can remove the color codes. I can share it with
you. But I strongly recommend testing in a safe environment, because I did
not use it for a long time. Maybe I can have a closer look at what it does
the next days. It is my plug-in, but I do not remember the details.

The plug-in only removes the color codes of the source that is loaded into
the editor. So no bash mode.
