Hi Thomas,

unfortunately I removed the iSphere debug workspace and related plugins
after we solved the problem with the looping message dialog.

Anyway I can still use the message file compare editor to show me the
differences and then open one or two message file editors to manually make
the necessary changes.

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,

The iSphere message file compare editor did not correctly return error
messages. I fixed that in class
biz.isphere.core.messagefilecompare.rse.AbstractMessageFileCompareEditor,
methods performCopyToLeft() and performCopyToRight(), new field
errorMessage.

Please check that following these steps:

1) Launch your iSphere debug workspace.
2) Launch your iSphere debug application and try to reproduce the problem.
3) On success: select all plug-ins in your iSphere debug workspace.
4) From the context menu select "Team - Update to HEAD".
5) Restart your iSphere debug application.
6) Reproduce the problem and let me know whether the error is displayed or
not.

Regards,

Thomas.

Betreff: [WDSCI-L] iSphere message file compare editor

Hi group,

I don't know if it's just me, but does the iSphere message file compare
editor not work across different systems?

If I compare two message files where one is on our test partition and one
on the production partition, the editor gives a correct overview of what is
different or missing left or right.

However, clicking "synchronize" doesn't do anything, but doesn't give an
error message either.

If I compare two message files on the same partition, it works as expected.

I checked the logs but there's nothing there relating to the msgf compare
editor.

Thanks,

Peter
