Re: Hanging in Checking License Status

This is really about the worst experience I've ever had with IBM software.
Installation manager won't user install
I did a sudo install of Installation manager and it won't do anything,
doesn't have a repository configured and no apparent way to configure one.
This is really horrible.

I agree with you, Mike, it was possibly silly of me to upgrade.
I sit at one desk with a Mac OS/X Big Sur and an Ubuntu.
I saw the noise about IM on Mac OS/X so I installed the new one there.
It worked, so I installed on Ubuntu.
Correlation is not causation: I haven't actually *proved* that it's the
IM update.
But Probably.

I would recommend using the IM that the RDI was
built and shipped with (1.8.7 IIRC)

You think just dropping back IM will do the trick?
