Sounds good, Jack, your experience and knowledge of Linux, et al, is much needed here - I just wanted people to know that it seems RDi works with git now - it has ssh terminals that let you get to the directories your repositories are in, then uses the eGit stuff. So you maybe don't need a separate installation to use putty.

I like having the IDE, and Eclipse lets you work with several kinds of code, right? If I'm already using it for RPG and stuff in PASE and whatever, hey, I'm good to go to have it all in one place.

Now that's a dream for me right now, to some degree. All my work is done using Turnover to handle software change, and so far it's all for library stuff, not IFS. But for y'all going to RPG, etc., source in the IFS, hey, we have it all there at our fingertips.

Regards
Vern

Thanks, Vern, if I ever want to access git on the IBM i via RDi, I'll walk through that if I have a problem.
Accessing remote git via an IDE is boilerplate in my world, I just never needed it yet in RDi.
