Not to mention that in this respect both ACS and RDi suck big time.

When something causes the connection to drop both of them spin for way too long before finally giving up. Drives me nuts.

Hi Steve

I have to ask - is there not some way to handle this from the RDi side? I was looking at ACS, and all I see is the auto-reconnect, which tries to connect after recovery from failure, so that doesn't seem quite the same.

Thanks for your help on all this!

Hi Alan,

Typically it's the TCPKEEPALV setting on the IBM i side.

The default is 120, but preferred is 5 to 15 minutes.

Hope this helps!
