Hi Jon.
I understand you're not running two instances but possibly your scenario is a variation of the same underlying problem. Maybe worth trying a port change when you have the time.
Another indicator of the problem is an issue with the Verify Connection information (even though your connections may work). In RSE, if you right-click Objects and select Verify Connection, if the process gets stuck at 'Checking server callbacks' and doesn't return a 'successful' message, chances are it's the same or a related problem.

I'd heard of that James but I don't have two instances running.
This is all going to have to take a back burner today as I have way too much other stuff to do.

Hi Jon.
I know there is an RDi bug on Mac that causes high cpu/fan running constantly when there are two instances of RDi running. Part of that issue is two instances communicating over the same port. A workaround for that issue is to manually change the port RDi is running under. Possibly changing the port will work for the problem you are seeing as well.
If you want to try this, go to
Preferences > Remote Systems > Communications and choose a different
port than what is set there. For example, set 4350 (or something else) instead of 4300, and then restart RDi.

Backed up and tried every level - same result. No such file or directory.

No - I just drilled down to that directory and issued the command

Ah, in that case, you would need to run './javaw -version'.
MacOS is unix and unix won't find a command in the current directory
unless it's in the path.
