Good point on whether IBM should use scarce resources for a change like this.

Especially now that I looked at this more clearly - see my other post just now, where comments are put at the end of a line when formatted in RDi.

But labels are already an option that can document change nicely, seems to me.

Back to my own snarky first sentence, could you not build a plug in that
would edit the CL source as you would so choose? Then either open source it
or put it up for sale. (See book: "The long thin tail". It will explain
why that's the most economically sound plan)

What about if other formatting is still desired? Wouldn't there need to be

No RFE needed. Turn off the automatic formatting and you can format as you
wish!
As suggested already leave tabs on for that simplicity.
