Clicking on the Severity column heading is indeed what I do now, Mike.

My first thought was indeed that I might have inadvertently clicked it, but whatever I did, new Error Listings started unsorted.

That's why I started looking for some way to set the default sort order. Alas, to no avail.

But, as advised by Steve Ferrell, I reported it as a bug to IBM.

Using unmodified workspaces I compiled in both 9.6.0.7 and 9.6.0.8 and
there is no difference to the sort order in the Error List.

Try clicking on the column header for the Severity column to sort ascending
or descending. Could it be that you inadvertently clicked it?
