Using unmodified workspaces I compiled in both 9.6.0.7 and 9.6.0.8 and
there is no difference to the sort order in the Error List.

Try clicking on the column header for the Severity column to sort ascending
or descending. Could it be that you inadvertently clicked it?

fixpack is now available!

Has something changed in the sorting in the Error List?

After I installed the fixpack it happened several times that I compiled
an RPG program, saw no fatal errors in the Error List, but noticed the
program hadn't changed. Turned out that there were fatal errors, but I
had to page down to see them.

I get the impression that before the fixpack the Error List sorted
descending on Severity, so fatal errors were immediately visible; after
the fixpack I can see no obvious sorting (none of the visible columns
appear to be in a logical order). Clicking on the header of the Severity
column brings the fatal errors to the top.

I have been searching for some way to set the default sorting for the
Error List, but haven't been able to find anything.
