I just use user/password when connecting with SSH. My $HOME just has a
known_hosts file.

I'll look into setting up key authentication.

Do you have a Private / public key set up in the /home/userprofile/.ssh
directory? Usually called id_rsa and id_rsa.pub. the ".pub" is the public
key that would be on IBM i. the id_rsa is the private key on your desktop.

Try ssh@x.x.x.x from powershell and see if that works.

Once RDi was under ssl/ssh I had to get those set up to make it work.
