Depends on what product or products you actually have. RDW suggests Rational Developer for Websphere to me. RDP suggests Rational Developer for Power. The annual maintenance for that seems reasonable at $218, or approx. 20% of 1100 buck.

I think RDW was/is a more expensive product list price-wise.

So I just received my renewal for RDi from my BP. If the information in this thread is accurate, I think I've been getting screwed for several years.

My quote is for:

Feature Code
5660-RDW RDP for i 1 YR Reg and Ren
1975 Basic OTC Per Auth User SWMA 1Y Ren $608
2077 Basic OTC Per Auth User SWMA 1Y Ren $218

Total of $826.

This used to be lumped in with my machine SWMA, but I migrated to a hosted machine this year, so now the RDi bill is stand-alone. And it stands out.

I've asked my BP to check the prices.

I believe it is called an Authorized User Licence. It is currently at a base price of US $1,150.00 per user and is renewable at the normal 20 (?) % per annum.

This page https://www.ibm.com/marketplace/purchase/configuration/en/us/checkout?editionID=EIDA3CLZ <https://www.ibm.com/marketplace/purchase/configuration/en/us/checkout?editionID=EIDA3CLZ> indicates that floating users are cheaper which seems odd because the floating >licenses were always n=more expensive. In fact the price shown is more like the price of the one year non-renewable option which is what you seem to have.

I have reached out to my IBM contacts to ask for an answer and will post here when I get it.

Jim, Jon, how do I make sure we either get the correct version, or

What should the cost to renew support for RDi be? We have the
Authorized User License, and our business partner wants to charge us
full price every year. That doesn't sound right to me.
