I used to have issues around administrator privileges constantly in RDi, especially around plug-ins. I did a full uninstall on RDi, and installed it into my own subdirectory on the C:\ drive (I called it C:\IBM), not in the default C:\Program Files and that has made all the issues go away, since this new directory tree does not fall under the need for administrator privileges. I suppose I'm mildly more exposed to RDi being infected with malware in this installation location, but, it now works as expected.

As I said earlier in this thread, in the past I have had exactly the same issue when trying to do updates (cannot perform operation, computing alternative solutions...)

Since I started doing uninstalls / installs rather than updates, the problem has gone away.
I installed the latest version yesterday using this method.

I always select all components except the first ( can't remember what it's called, but it's optional ) and last (TN5250)

Although I believe I installed RDi with elevated privileges, I don't have to do anything special for the iSphere uninstall / reinstall.

regards,
C
