As I said earlier in this thread, in the past I have had exactly the same
issue when trying to do updates (cannot perform operation, computing
alternative solutions...)

Since I started doing uninstalls / installs rather than updates, the
problem has gone away.
I installed the latest version yesterday using this method.

I always select all components except the first ( can't remember what it's
called, but it's optional ) and last (TN5250)

Although I believe I installed RDi with elevated privileges, I don't have
to do anything special for the iSphere uninstall / reinstall.
