Hi Rob,

Based upon the error text it appears the earlier update cleared the c:\Program Files\IBM\SDPShared\native\com.ibm.rdi.acs_1.1.7.20180212.zip file.

Export using File -> Rational Developer for I -> Configuration files and save it to a location on your PC. Then start Installation Manager and install into a new package group.

Then start RDi and Import the saved settings using File -> Import -> Configuration files

Geez, this is what I missed....

Thanks Steve, you were correct, only the JVM was updated.
I attempted to install 9.6.0.6 and received the error Error getting file for installation: Failed to locate previously fetched file at c:\Program Files\IBM\SDPShared\native\com.ibm.rdi.acs_1.1.7.20180212.zip
How should I proceed?
Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob,

You can go into Installation Manager and look at the package group
that you updated. Once updated, the version will display as 9.6.0.6.

Go into Installation Manager and select File -> Installation History
- You should see an "update" from IBM Rational developer for I
9.6.0.5 to 9.6.0.6.

If you see an "update" of 9.6.0.5 to 9.6.0.5, you would have updated
only the JVM, and would not see the new content.

Hope this helps!

I used IM to do the update with Run as Administrator. It appeared
to update with out errors or warnings.
I did a clean with Run as Adinistrator.
I tried to use some of the new functionality that Ken and Justin
mentioned but they didn't work.
So I went to Help->About IBM Rational Developer for i and it still
shows Version 9.6.0.5.
Should I not be seeing Version 9.6.0.6?

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks Justin,

If you want to "toggle" with the outline, click on the little
Triangle on the Outline view, then click the "Select current
procedure or
sub-routine".
This will toggle the outline view as well.

I loaded it. Going thru RPG source, I thought "what's this text
that keeps changing at the bottom?". I see that the current
method now displays all the time in the grey margin at the bottom. Very nice!
