Hi Eric - yes, the verify does work and he does have WDS Option 60 installed.
Thanks

Hi Bob,
Can you have them run Verify Connection? The most likely issue is the lack of WDS Options 60 installed on their IBM i. In the RDi preferences, it defaults to batch compiles which call a host RDi program which comes with WDS Option 60.
Thanks,
Eric

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [WDSCI-L] RDi compile jobs & options
Sent by: "WDSCI-L" <wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
I have a colleague that's just beginning to use RDi. He's consulting for a different company, so I'm posting this on his behalf.
Unfortunately I didn't have the answer for him, because my instance of RDi just works.
He's attempting to compile his first program, but nothing is happening. He gets the compile command prompt, and hits okay, but is not getting any feedback - no completion message or error list - and is unable to find the compile job anywhere on the system. It's not under his user profile, and he doesn't see anything in any of the jobq's.
Where do RDi compile jobs go? Where's the preference that controls this?
Thanks
