John,

File>Import/Export

Every so often I export my setting, include my "templates" and snippets and other customization:

1.) >File>Export --> General>preferences --> "Key Preferences" & "RSE UI"
2.) >File>Export --> Rational Developer for i --> "Configuration Files"
O Database Connections
O Eclipse Preferences
O Editor Templates
O Remote System Artifacts
O saved Perspectives
O Snippets

Then when creating a new workspace, I get about 90% of my customization back! Not perfect, but pretty close.

Thanks Ken, errrhh... where is the IMPORT/EXPORT function?

Creating a new workspace solves a plethora of issues.

And with the IMPORT/EXPORT function. Normally, I am able to restore about 90% of my previous setting. Not counting Vendor Plugin. <LOL>

I am one of those weird people, who use F3=Find next. So my F3 works in spool files, LPEX, Debugger Editor, XML, HTML, etc! <Big Smile>

And I am able to restore my customized key-mapping very easy and very fast!

PS. In NotePad++, VS studio, Foxit Reader, etc. All use F3=find next...
<Hint Hint> I like to keep it simple. :)
