Mike,

That does not explain why a "fly-over" won't show the value. But, double-click to highlight the variable. And then the "Fly-over" works? What am I missing here? Is that how "fly-over" supposed to work? Is that the "design" by IBM?

Yes, I know you can stretch the size of the "fly-over" pop-up, but still cannot see the value in debug. Even if stretched.

I hover here, but only see the variable type.

Highlight and hover over, and now I see the value...

Hoover over another variable, and it shows the value without highlighting it.

Workaround: Add variable to the monitor view. Or highlight and then hover over the variable. Those two options seem reliable.

I think you may find that the fly-over will depend on whether the debugger actually has the values in context. On each step the debugger will try to get the values for what is in the current context and I will guess that is what limits what the editor can show you in fly-over.

Ok... this is getting to be a regular occurrence... I may have to open a PMR :(

I can't replicate it. Besides, it wouldn't be worth the hassle of a PMR.
There are only so many, "delete your entire environment and call me in the morning" responses I can take.

Justin,

Cool! I am not losing my mind!

If you could duplicate it, you could open a PMR to get this repeatable bug fixed.

It seems to be sporadic for me. :(

Usually, for me in the middle of debugging is not a good time to reboot RDI. So, I highlight the variable, and then hover to get the value. A "Mickey-Mouse" work around for the bug. :(

Thanks.
