Re: Hover not working in debug

I can be on a step, or on the very next step and "fly-over" doesn't work. I can even have the fields defined in the Monitor tab and it doesn't work.

It's like RDi thinks you're in the Source Editor instead of Debug. I always have the source open in the Editor (usually to edit), then right-click and create an SEP, right-click and create a breakpoint.

I have not seen this type of behavior before... I haven't updated recently, but I am using SQLRPGLE more and more.

I think you may find that the fly-over will depend on whether the debugger actually has the values in context. On each step the debugger will try to get the values for what is in the current context and I will guess that is what limits what the editor can show you in fly-over.

I can't replicate it. Besides, it wouldn't be worth the hassle of a PMR.
There are only so many, "delete your entire environment and call me in the morning" responses I can take.

Cool! I am not losing my mind!

If you could duplicate it, you could open a PMR to get this repeatable bug fixed.

It seems to be sporadic for me. :(

Usually, for me in the middle of debugging is not a good time to reboot RDI. So, I highlight the variable, and then hover to get the value. A "Mickey-Mouse" work around for the bug. :(
