I'll have to try that. But... SQL Workbench gives me content assist and more.
As to the 100 column limitation - Personal preference - I would find 100 columns of SQL cumbersome to read/interpret. I'd rather have the statement broken up into smaller chunks (width-wise).

Do you know the Poor Man's t SQL formatter plugin for Notepad++ ?
You can set the maximum width of the formatted code.
I do use it all day. Great tool.
