You could always point out things that M$ has come up short on as well.
SQL Server now has a TRIM() function! (as of SQL Server 2017) prior to that you had to use LTRIM(RTRIM()) - we had that in the 80's
SQL Server RCAC - still not there, there's row level security but not row & column level
I don't deal with Visual Studio so I won't chime in on that but those 2 are in the DB Engine...not the tools! SSMS is better imo than Data Studio but (again jmo) DB2 for I is still a better DB than SQL Server.

It just cracks me up that Microsoft VS allows you to line split with the ENTER key. What a concept!
You can zoom in/out of your code too.
Microsoft SQL Editor has complete intellisense for field names and more. Unlike ACS and/or IBM Data-Studio.
Very strange to me that I can select field names with Green Screen STRSQL, but not with ACS or IBM Data-studio. The so called Modern tools. The Microsoft people laughed when I shout for JOY! I FINALLY have COLOR for my SQL!!!! <Joy Joy> Really, they said? We have had it since the 80's.
I tried to show the "FREE" IBM Data Studio to the MS types. Right away, they asked: "Where is the code-assist for fields? How come that does not work? Does IBM not support code assist for sql?"
I said, you have to read the manual to learn how to set up a project and activate "Code-Assist" for fields. While with Microsoft SSMS, it is automatic! No set up required!
But, I guess I can say that RDI is better than SEU & Edlin! <LOL>

It is with a heavy heart that I say these things with over 28-years on the IBM Platform.

' No wonder it is light years ahead.'
I couldn't disagree more. VS is the worst thing about working in .NET. To each his own, I guess.

I put in a RFE to allow you to zoom IN & OUT on the LPEX editor.
I was sort of hoping that the Open source Community might be able to fix that, if it was open source.
Other code editors, like Eclipse, Visual-Code, Visual Studio, NotePad++, IntelliJ, sublime, etc... Do have Zoom in/Out. Heck even our web browsers have zoom in/out.
I would not think that ZOOM IN & OUT is Rocket Science.
Microsoft has had professional Visual Studio for over 21-years. Their IDE has already graduated college! Yeah! No wonder it is light years ahead. Experience counts!
The quality of any Software speaks for itself!
PS. I will hold my breath until RDI goes Open-Source. <kidding>
