Darren,

Interesting thought, but I did not install my plugins with "Run as Administrator" mode.

My error log said:
"com.ibm.etools.iseries.parsers.ISeriesEditorRPGILESQLParser". Document
parser was disabled.
!VIEW myIBMi:KKILLIAN/QRPGLESRC(TCDTOIRI):2

That does NOT indicate a problem with my plugins.

I turn off the parser, and my problems are GONE. But then, so is my outline view, code-assist, Field-size, etc...

On the bright side, then I have ZERO LOCK Ups!

Side note, here are my installed plug-ins:
* iSphere
* Turnover by Softlanding
* Pathfinder
* RPG Toolbox
* iRPGUnit

I love the outline view, but not if locks up while editing/writing code.

My lockup happened at a different point to yours (mine happened at startup), and seemed to be related to the plug-ins I was using. I have a combination iSphere and MKS Implementer plugin. Originally they were installed with RDi running in 'Run as Administrator" mode, I uninstalled them and reinstalled running RDi in normal mode, and the lockups have ceased. So, in case you have third party plug-ins, you might want to try removing them for a bit to see if it makes a difference. I don't really know what fixed it, but I'm pretty sure I've tried reinstalling before, so, my conclusion is that it was related to the mode RDi was running in, when I installed the plugins.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDI 9.6.0.4 parsing error...
Sent by: "WDSCI-L" <wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi,

Using RDI 9.6.0.4, and the parser locked me up again...

Now, I did a "BAD-THING" trying to use RDI with the parser "Active". And it locked up my RDI 9.6.0.4
Window > Preference > Remote System LPEX > ILE RPG --> Check-box for
"Update the Outline view when text is changed in the editor"

It locked up my split screen, and also unable to size or move the second
screen...

So, the parser is still hosed. Maybe I should not try to use functions in
RDI, like outline view, split screens, etc... That is when I run into
issues... <LOL>

Last error in my error-Log:
!ENTRY com.ibm.lpex 4 0 2018-08-01 13:13:54.634
!MESSAGE Uncaught exception in class
"com.ibm.etools.iseries.parsers.ISeriesEditorRPGILESQLParser". Document
parser was disabled.
!VIEW myIBMi:KKILLIAN/QRPGLESRC(TCDTOIRI):2
!STACK 0
java.lang.NullPointerException

Solution: Turn off parsing and do NOT use any advance functions of RDI.
They just break, like the parser...

Oh yeah, I use "Advance" copy-book compiler directives like /Define &
/Undefine...

I would try to video this stuff, but how to film a mouse click & re-size
not working?????

Reboot, restart, clear cache, start with "-clean", and turn off the
parser, and hope it works... <sad face>

PS. Works great with the PARSER turned off! <sarcasm>
