Re resolution clarity, one thing to try is the 'Open in Low Resolution'
option if it's available on your system.

In the macOS finder, right-click the RDi application icon and select 'Get
Info'. If there is a box for 'Open in Low Resolution', try checking it.
Then start RDi.

I believe this macOS option handles applications more like they're normal
resolution than low resolution. For example, if your retina display is
5120x2880, for the application it will handle it as if the display is
2560x1440.

Hmm I couldn't get ACS to see the Inconsolata fonts I loaded in Windows.
I didn't see any obvious selection parameters in the font choosing dialog
that would exclude them.
I wonder if it needs a restart of ACS to recognise them or or something.

I tried Inconsolata for a short while on Windows but it didn't seem quite
as clear as the Consolas font I'd been using and Inconsolata seemed to
have
a fair bit large line spacing ( I forget the technical term for it when
referring to fonts ) so that I got about 10 more lines on the screen for a
10 point font size with Consolas.

Just tried it on the Mac. I installed the font before opening ACS and the
Mac can see it, so maybe that was the issue with Windows not seeing it.

Still doesn't look all that great on the Mac. I don't quite understand why
it shouldn't be crystal clear - there is clearly some kind of scaling or
something going on.
