Re: [WDSCI-L] RDi DDS Design Perspective

So,

The design perspective has some functionality which allows you to centre
a
field, like you might do in SDA by er typing AC over the attribute byte
I
think.

It relies on you being able to access the component to right click it to
get to the context menu.

You can't do that easily if two fields occupy the same space dependant
on
an indicator.

I'm not saying it's a problem I was just asking if there was something I
was missing that would allow me cause one of the fields to not be there.
Some of these complicated GUIs have features which aren't intuitive and
I
just wanted to check I hadn't overlooked it.

Craig

I've been thinking on this one.

If you slowly click the area occupied by the two fields, RDi will
alternate which field is selected. Then you can deal with changes in the
properties view. e.g., 'One' and 'Two' are both located at the same spot.
Click once and 'One' is selected. Click a second time and 'Two' is
selected.

But if you want to take action on one of the fields (e.g., dragging the
field or aligning it), the action is always applied to the second field in
the area. It almost seems like a bug to me. If you click where 'One' is
selected, then right-click, two will be selected. If you click where 'Two'
is selected and right-click, 'Two' remains selected. I would love it if it
was consistent to leave the left-click selected field selected when you
right-click.
