Maybe this was observed already, but I tried both Enter keys.

In embedded SQL, the main Enter key does not split the line,
the numkey Enter key adds a space, then does not split the line - curious.

In other code, both Enter keys do the same thing - split the line or, if you use the Ctrl key, just open the next line and go there.

For both SQL and other code, Ctrl with either Enter key creates the next line and positions under the 1st character of the line above that. - this latter I will find useful, methinks.

What if you define the keys to be what you like as described here?

So it's intentional that the keyboard ENTER and the number pad ENTER
operate differently?

So some people really want to be able to use the openLine enter behaviour
in SQLRPGLE because they want to stay at the current column and just open a
new line

Sorry Ken, this is a feature that some people are counting on so I can't
change it.

It's a preference you can change. Not everyone would necessarily want the
keyboard mapped that way. I wouldn't call that a bug.
