Okay, wow, simple thing.

Problem was on the server. My user profile pointed to my own *JOBD that
specified a library list. One of the libraries in the list had been
split in two. Instead of library ABCDEF it was listed as ABC --and--
DEF, neither of which were a real library.

Okay, made sure the RDi still had a connection to they system. It
did/does. (VPN is still showing Connected as well).

Thanks for the tip Mike. I do have an old, old HP laptop where I plan
on installing Linux. I had put Windows 10 on it, and when I did, the
Windows guy at work told me to use the "Dark Theme" on it, so I did,
but I pretty much hate it anyway.

Don't remember how I installed it on my iMac originally, but I have a
Macbook I will also download to, soon.

Well, based on other comments you may be right. I found an IBM jdk
file in the /Applications/ folder on my Mac. (Sorry I forgot to
mention the Mac)

I have an editor issue, trying to open a member for edit (or browse)
in RDI, I get an error message instead, "Specified working directory
not found." For several different source members.

Tried quitting RDi then re-launching, nope.

Tried uninstalling RDi and reinstalling, Nope.

Tried creating a new workspace to work in. Nope.

Then tried deleting the old workspace directory to see if the new
one would now work. Nope

Then I tried deleting the new (and now only) workspace directory and
re-launch. (The welcome page was funny but) Nope.

Then I tried posting a message to the IBM RDi forum, and here we
are, seeing if anybody has a solution to this. (Licensing is not an
issue)

And now, I am cross posting the above list of "I already did this"
to this midrange list.

I have to ask because it's a common issue. When installing, did you
right-click and use 'Run as Administrator'? I've personally never had
an issue with this, but it seems to be a common source of problems.

I don't remember doing the right-click thing, but the ID I use is
/the/ admin for my Mac, and in any case anytime I do something that
needs admin it just pops up to enter the admin credentials input. On
the command line in the terminal for Macs you use sudo first and if it
needs it you get  a prompt there for credentials too.
