But just to clarify, I actually have WEB defined for LPEX as she mentions..

If you look at the picture I sent you off-list, you'll not that the /IF NOT
DEFINED(WEB) block has some grey at the side...

That's LPEX's way of showing that that block is not currently active...

So the info is there, it's just the matching/nesting logic that isn't
using it.

It's not strictly within LPEX, but you can set the defines for
conditional directives, for both the editor and the verifier, in the
Preferences at
Remote Systems > IBM i > Program Verifiers > ILE RPG > Defines
