[WDSCI-L] Error List in RDi 9.6

Hi All,

Since moving to V 9.6 when I use Scott Klement's BUILD command, I'm not
getting anything in the Error List tab ( for a failed compile )

I have to look in the Commands Log to see if compiles worked.
Is anyone else experiencing anything similar?

The BUILD command works fine in 9.5 and looking at the Commands Log tab
I
can see that when it runs the CRTSQLRPGI command it is correctly
specifying
OPTION( *EVENTF ) the same as the default compile command in RDI so I'm
not
quite sure why I'm not getting anything in the Error List tab.

Thanks and regards,
Craig

By default the event file (and associated member) is generated in the
library for the program object. If your option has changed from not having
'Compile in batch' checked to having it checked, the event file for the
error list can be generated in QTEMP. If you are compiling in batch, this
won't be accessible (as the compile job's QTEMP library no longer exists).
So RDi can't return the error list. Our compile processing, copies the
event file member from QTEMP to the object library. This resolves the
issue for us.

Alternatively, you can uncheck the 'Compile in batch option'. I just like
to have a separate job for each compile.
