Re: 9.6 install

...don't get me started on this! The other IDE I most frequently use is Visual Studio Code, every month I get a little notification to tell me there's a new version and would I like to install it, about one minute later it's installed, restarted and ready to go.

Bad week-after-vacation... two entire days spent upgrading from v9.5 to v9.6 because of a PMR opened on 9.5.

My frustration is that I DO have login and was obviously registered with PA at one time. I now recall the initial frustration of purchasing the software. What I don't have is my "site ID". So I can't go any further w/out contacting IBM by phone... And my IBM Business Partner can't help me either since the purchase was direct.

I already have the software. I just need the license key and the new data studio for myself and our other programmer (staff of two).

IBM'ers will (in their mind) have a perfectly good reason why things are like this... because they think like IBM. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is shaking their heads. It would do them (IBM) a world of good to sit in their customer's position once in a while.

I should stop now... rant over.

IBM can blame "old programmers" for not wanting to move to RDi... but
I guarantee you the millennials will not be patient enough to
tolerate the standard install. It's beyond ridiculous that something
takes this long
to
install in 2018.

Sorry if I'm being "harsh" - but who has the time to spend an entire
day just to update a piece of software?

20-minutes
for me...
