Greg,

To re-install iSphere, search for iSPhere in the eclipse Market place. That is the easy way...

If I remember correctly, RDI 9.5 is based on Eclipse Luna. While the new & improved RDI 9.6.0.1 is based on Eclipse Neon.

So, I installed the IBM Data-Studio that supports the eclipse Neon.

Summary:
IBM DS 4.1.2.0 supports Eclipse Luna
IBM DS 4.1.3.0 supports Eclipse Neon

I am using the "Free" version.

I have manually copied project from my old work-space into my new workspace. And that has worked for me. But, I am not an expert on the IBM Data-studio, but I do use it. It is pretty awesome, once you get use to the navigation. Which there is a "learning curve". But you seem to be already there...

Oh well, just trying to give you a head's up. You should be able to import from your existing workspace, I assume. Since I am not an expert. I know I do imports with "iProjects" with no issues. I think it works the same in the data studio.

But, you have a different IBM DS version than mine, so not 100% sure...

Hope this might help a little bit...

I've already created a copy of my previous workspace and pointed v9.6 to it. That seems to have brought everything over except:

1. The projects/directories in my Data Project Explorer view, and 2. iSphere

I know that I'll need to download/install iSphere again (that actually failed).

Seems all I need now is the SQL projections in Data Project Explorer and a new license key (we pay the annual subscription). I tried to Import by pointing to my existing workspace... I think that created a problem.

But now I have a blank slate - I've spent years creating my "environment". I would like to be able to migrate my workspace rather than creating it all again from scratch.

1) Open up the previous version + workspace combo
2) Export the Remote Systems settings
3) Close the previous
4) Open the current
5) Import the Remote Systems settings
