Microsoft is BRILLIANT! Their software required constant re-writes and constant re-training too!

IBM needs to follow this LEAD!

I got over 3,400 text to monitor Microsoft Server job on my on-call Week. BRILLIANT!!!

No wonder why everyone is switching to Microsoft! Better Training, better job security, better FUTURE!

PS. A Microsoft developer lost his mind, when he discovered we had Java code that "work" and it had not been re-written in 7-YEARS! It needs to be UDPATED IMMEDIATELY!! He screamed!

Microsoft is BRILLIANT!

Did anyone pickup on the sarcasm? <LOL> They are winning, no sarcasm there...

I noted yesterday that MS's latest update to Skype (on Mac) has developed a similar nasty habit of "hiding" things. Had to resort to a whole bunch of different tricks yesterday to find out who the heck was talking to me and to respond.

MS seem to have "lost the thread" in UI design recently - all sorts of dumb stuff happening.

That has to be a Win10 problem because the HMC (8.8.6.2) does the same
thing.

Worse, it remembers that I had an external monitor once, and if so it
loads the window into the same place, even though it's not there
anymore. (Moving the window fixes it)

Bottom line, I think that's a windows behavior not RDi or HMC.

And indeed it looks like the notifications and popups _always_ go to
the primary monitor, no matter where the IDE is.

Not good...

Hi Ken,

I'm indeed on Win10, so it may be that it's related to the "primary
monitor".

However, I would expect notifications (and the popup in Rdi) to appear
on the monitor where the program is.

I'll see what happens if I make the external screen "primary".

Peter,

Are you using Windows 10? In the system display properties, you can
determine you "primary" monitory.

Somehow, my windows primary monitor on windows keeps being flipped.
Somehow, my desktop icons went to my secondary monitor.

So, once again I have to manual my primary monitor in Win-blows 10.

Welcome to Windows 10! The interface, features, and navigation change
all the time! Isn't that Great? <sarcasm>

They make colors harder to see, and think that is great. They
obviously hate people with Tri-Focals like myself. NO WAY I am USING
that Stupid "HIGH-CONTRAST" mode for the legally blind. <rant>

My Mom has been blind since 16, and they keep changing navigation!
Blind people have to MEMORIZE key-strokes, and with Windows 10
constantly changing, that discriminates AGAINST Blind People!

But, that is the Microsoft way, change the interface/navigation constantly.
I can see, 20/20, and it drives me NUTS!!!! At least the basic
navigation for RDI has remain consistent! Thanks RDi Team!

Sadly, windows 10 monitor primary has been around for a long time. I
believe it has NOTHING to do with RDI 9.6.0.1. At least that is my bet!

Hi group,

Having upgraded to Rdi 9.6.0.1 late last year, I've noticed an issue
that I don't think existed in previous versions of the IDE.

One day a week I work in the Netherlands, where I plug in a 23"
monitor (via the VGA port on my laptop) and a strange thing happens:

If I move the RDi window to my secondary display (the external one),
the pop-ups for prototypes etc very briefly flash at my cursor location, but
then are shown on my laptop panel in the dead center of the screen. Also
notifications (I use the iSphere message plugin to receive messages in
Rdi) are on the built-in screen, not on the screen where the IDE sits.

The other days, I work with my laptop in a docking station, and have
dual 22" external monitors, so I don't use the laptop panel. There
the problem doesn't occur.

Does anybody have any clue as to why this is happening?

Thanks in advance.
