Peter,

Are you using Windows 10? In the system display properties, you can determine you "primary" monitory.

Somehow, my windows primary monitor on windows keeps being flipped. Somehow, my desktop icons went to my secondary monitor.

So, once again I have to manual my primary monitor in Win-blows 10.

Welcome to Windows 10! The interface, features, and navigation change all the time! Isn't that Great? <sarcasm>

They make colors harder to see, and think that is great. They obviously hate people with Tri-Focals like myself. NO WAY I am USING that Stupid "HIGH-CONTRAST" mode for the legally blind. <rant>

My Mom has been blind since 16, and they keep changing navigation! Blind people have to MEMORIZE key-strokes, and with Windows 10 constantly changing, that discriminates AGAINST Blind People!

But, that is the Microsoft way, change the interface/navigation constantly. I can see, 20/20, and it drives me NUTS!!!! At least the basic navigation for RDI has remain consistent! Thanks RDi Team!

Sadly, windows 10 monitor primary has been around for a long time. I believe it has NOTHING to do with RDI 9.6.0.1. At least that is my bet!

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Weird dual monitor issue

Hi group,

Having upgraded to Rdi 9.6.0.1 late last year, I've noticed an issue that I don't think existed in previous versions of the IDE.

One day a week I work in the Netherlands, where I plug in a 23" monitor (via the VGA port on my laptop) and a strange thing happens:

If I move the RDi window to my secondary display (the external one), the pop-ups for prototypes etc very briefly flash at my cursor location, but then are shown on my laptop panel in the dead center of the screen. Also notifications (I use the iSphere message plugin to receive messages in Rdi) are on the built-in screen, not on the screen where the IDE sits.

The other days, I work with my laptop in a docking station, and have dual 22" external monitors, so I don't use the laptop panel. There the problem doesn't occur.

Does anybody have any clue as to why this is happening?

Thanks in advance.

Met vriendelijke groeten / Best regards,
