Rex,

I did a brand new work space, and export/imported my settings from RDi 9.5.1.2. Which gets about 95% or more of the setting but not all...

One It seems to miss is the Update Production files to YES. It doesn't seem to copy over settings like the hairline cursor, which I use occasional, even in **Free format.<smirk>

I do a lot of key customization, so I had to export/import General/Preference/Key Preferences...

For instanstance, I use F3=to find next, like my beloved NotePad++. And Foxit Reader also uses F3=Find Next. I like to keep it consistent for me!

And I am lazy, I like F3=find next to be the same in Lpex, Text, spool-files, etc... And I like one key, instead of F16 = Shift+F4. To each their own!!!

The export/import of "Rational Developer for i/Configuration Files" works quite well. That also grabs my source templates too!

Many other just copy their workspace over to new name, and then open it with RDI 9.6. As Buck has already mention...

I just prefer to start with a new work-space.

PS. The Export/Import is off the file menu. And then select either Export/Import.

OK here is a dumb question. I installed 9.6 today and it's a blank slate. How do I bring back my connections from 9.5 to avoid re-setting up everything?
