My RDi was trashed and needs to be replaced.

For future reference, try creating a new workspace before re-installing.

My Installation Manager v1.7.3 needs to be upgraded, so I got v1.8.7 from Fix Central, and have unzipped to a folder on my PC.

For me, the secret sauce is to let IM update itself.
Fire up your current version of IM (I do Run as Administrator).
File > Preferences > Updates.
Select the box to search for IM updates.

Check the repositories to make sure the 9.5 version is available.
File > Preferences > Repositories.

(all one line)
OK.

When at the main panel, click Install. IM should (ha!) update itself,
and then want a re-start. Then you get to try Install again, and it
should (ha! HA!) install RDi 9.5.
