Buck,

My issues with the %error, requiring %error() like Java, does NOT even build an outline view at all! <frown>

Bob's issue is on different source member, that had worked previously. It does load an outline view, but it is not 100%. Which I just opened PMR on that parsing failing issue. His program is over 10K and uses several service programs too! It is modernized!

So, this is TWO different issues...

So, this is NOT JUST MY PC... <LOL>

Unable to get an outline view, to me is "UNACCEPTABLE". But, I probably expect too much from RDI 9.5.1.2. Sorry.

So, back to the old "SEU-Trick" to scan source, instead of using the nifty outline view. If it does NOT load in my case, what choice do I have?

Restart does not fix it either...

Maybe I need to do the "-clean" option, and build another new workspace. My work space is after all is now 10-days old. Maybe reboot windows again?

Wow! I never realize what a "Great Time-Saver" RDI is with constant re-starts, reboots, "-clean", new workspace, etc...
<sarcasm>

PS. I guess it is just my new LAPTOP with intel i-7 with 4-cores and 8-gig of memory... <disappointment>

I try to report these issues, so hopefully they get resolved, and others do NOT encounter these nightmares...

Yes, we have virus software and scans. It is not a virus, unless you call RDI a virus.

When RDI works, it is the BEST... Except for these errors that pop-up every so often... <disappointment>

Friendly tech support, Mike told me that I could change the %error to %error() to fix it. Which does work! Thanks Mike!

Reproduced in 9.5.1.1.
Is there an APAR for this, or should I open a PMR?

With respect to OP, this bug does not result in extraordinarily slow parsing.
