When it only fails in RDI, it is that SOFTWARE without a doubt....

A question for those who experience this:
Are you using any plug-ins, or the base RDi?
In particular, are you using a change management plug-in?

I use several plug-ins including iSphere and RPGUnit, and have never
once experienced this, nor have my 'factory stock' colleagues.

I had not experienced this myself, but a colleague had. I don't remember
what I had him do, but it finally happened to me earlier this week. I did
a clear restart--i.e., append the "-clean" (w/o quotes) to the end of the
start up command for RDi. This seems to have fixed it and I haven't had
problem since.

As far as plug-ins, here's what 'Help', 'Installation Details' shows:

* AbstractForEclipse 1.9.5
(I got this working on an old release, but it isn't worth the
trouble. I would love to delete it, but I don't remember how)

* Albireo Feature (Incubator) 0.0.3.v200810131
(I don't remember installing this. Is it part of the standard
RDi?)

* Eclipse Colorer 0.9.9

* all the 'iSphere' options

* SoftLanding Extensions for RSE 7.5.0.20130621

I hadn't installed anything new for quite a while when the delete key
stopped working. About the same time, I had a whole bunch of other strange
behavior. All the oddities seem to have gone away with the -clean start.

I've always have another icon/start menu option available with the -clean.
I only run the '-clean' version once. Then everything seems to work until
the next time I need to clean things up. I've only used this once or twice
in the last year or so.
