My text encoding was set to UTF-8. I changed it to Default (Cp1252) and
imported the member in a new project. Still curly brackets.

Our jobs run with CCSID 500.

assume.

Just for your information, our jobs (on the IBM i) run with CCSID
(*HEX) and a default CCSID of 273.
