I have the same error, the only difference being that my iSphere install is at 2.9.0.r.

Fired up RDi (v9.5.0.3), got a message that an update for iSphere was available. Clicked Help, Check for Updates, got "Available Updates" dialog that listed a bundh of iSphere items at version 2.9.1.r. Selected All, clicked Next, then clicked Finish. Got an error dialog:
