I have seen this, as well - I suspect it's there so we can address problems.

There should be some yellow indicators on the left or some stuff on the right of the editor window - these are supposed to point out where a problem lies.

So it is maybe on purpose, since the outline engine can't figure what is meant. Hey, I've hit the refresh a dozen times until it dawned on me to look for a problem!!
