Well, DDS for printer files and display files isn't going away until
printer files and display files do. It's debatable how much longer
they will hang on (could be a long time, could be for as long as RPG
hangs on, which may well be indefinitely), but with so many more
options for output and interaction these days, I am very confident
that printer files and display files are in permanent decline in terms
of share of the "market" so to speak.
